Customized SEO – Is it Worth the Extra Cost?

Customized search engine optimization (SEO) is when search engine optimization is customized to your individual web page or keywords. It is one of the most important things you can do on the Internet in order to create traffic through the natural search engine results. Natural search engine results are the non-paid search engine results, As opposed to sponsored search engine results which are basically paid advertising, natural search engine results are the non-paid search engine results.
In effect, only you as web site user can determine if you need customized SEO or not. IF you think that your site must be found on the first few pages of search engine results, then customized search engine optimization (SEO) is for you. But be warned, it’s something that has to be performed on an on-going basis and it’s not inexpensive either.

So how do you do customized SEO? One of the very first things you need to do is to determine for which SEO tips keywords are you able to easily and quickly rank highly in the natural search engine results.

Generally, you’ll have a hard time ranking highly, right out of the box, for a search term that gets 100,000 searches and has 100,000 competing websites. Generally, with that much competition, there are far more than 10 websites that are serious about being in the top ten, and although you might duplicate much of what they have done, there is some weight placed on the fact that they have been in that spot for some time and ahead of you.

It is much easier to come up with 10 different keywords each having an average of 10,000 searches per month, or even 20 having only 5000 keyword searches per month. The key is to choose keywords having less than 5000 competing results. When the competition is less severe, as in keywords having less than 5000 competing sites, there are fewer sites that make the effort to be in the top ten spot.

Another option is to engage a company involved in customizing SEO. If you do, then expect the following to be done:
Competitive Analysis. A detailed competitive analysis in your product or keyword space. Who plays there? How do they position themselves? How are their pages marked and tagged?
Optimized keywords. The goal is to identify which mix of keywords will best identify your products and services and allow your site to be ranked higher. A bit tricky this one.
Meta tags. Customized SEO will likely require an adjustment of the meta tags on each page of your web site to ensure that they appropriately describe the content and mirror the keywords you use.
Rewriting of your web copy. With new optimized keywords and a competitive analysis, customized SEO will probably require many of your pages, if not all, to be rewritten so that it is search engine friendly.
Hand submission. Once optimized, your site will have to be re-submitted to key web sites to ensure that the changes in the site are appropriately registered. At least there’s one good news here – your changes will show up in a matter of days, not weeks.

There’s a lot of labor associated with customized SEO and therefore it is not a static task. Bear in mind that your competition is doing the same things. Like you, they’re also looking for the best way to stay on top. Most likely you’ll have serious competition, perhaps many of them, so expect to revise your optimization on a regular basis.
