NordVPN users now have the ability to create their own private network using Meshnet’s new feature

NordVPN is one of the best VPN services. It just launched a new feature which allows users to create their own private networks.

Instead of routing internet traffic via a VPN server to reroute it, Meshnet allows users to direct their traffic through other devices using encrypted private tunnels. This means NordVPN subscribers can connect all their devices, including their family members and friends.

Vykintas Manickas, Product Strategist at NordVPN, says that “this feature release is a gamechanger” and it will transform the way users use NordVPN.

“Our product team has been tirelessly working for the past few year, which really started with the development our flagship technology – NordLynx. This is the foundation behind Meshnet and allows us to provide enhanced privacy solutions without sacrificing industry-leading speed.”

Meshnet was officially released today. It will be available on all operating systems, from Windows, Linux, MacOs, Android, and iOS smartphones.

What is NordVPN Meshnet?

NordVPN Meshnet is technology that transforms your device into a private server. It will allow you to connect from anywhere in the world.

Meshnet uses WireGuard-based protocol NordLynx, which ensures the security of all your connections. It allows you to link up to 60 devices regardless of their location. Each device will be assigned a unique IP address that will only work with Meshnet.

Maknickas explains, “All you need is a NordVPN membership.”

NordVPN claims Meshnet makes it easy to create your own network. You will first need to enable Meshnet in your NordVPN App on all devices you want to connect. You can then link your devices, or invite other NordVPN users. Enter the IP address to access your private server.

When should NordVPN Meshnet not be used?

The theory is that building your own private network can have many benefits, including opening up new VPNs. You might want to use the Meshnet function, for example.

File sharing – With Meshnet, you can share files with your family, friends, and colleagues almost immediately without having to store them on another server or cloud space.

Gaming Those looking to improve their gaming experience will find Meshnet useful. It functions as a virtual Local Area Network or LAN. Friends can play multiplayer games together, regardless of where they live in the world.

Virtual routing – Let’s say you are on vacation abroad and you want to surf the internet via your own IP. Meshnet lets you redirect your internet traffic via your laptop from home, instead of the NordVPN connection routing your traffic through its servers.
